Walmart required a closeup image of milk pouring into a pitcher caputuring a natural splash with milk droplets.

Challenge

We needed to create composite photo of three image captures. The first photo needed to capture a beautiful milk pour. The second photo needed to highlight the milk droplets forming on the sides. Finally, the third photo needed to capture the bottom of the splash which comes up and around the pour. Many gallons of milk would be needed to snap the best shots.

Solution

Our setup involved pouring a gallon of milk into a shallow rectangular 24” x 18” container. At the center of the container, a round poker chip was anchored to the bottom and propped up so it sat right at the surface. When the milk was poured directly on top of the chip, it would splash up correctly.
